After being a customer at a Fleet Feet store in Carborro, North Carolina for several years and working at that same store for 3 years, my wife Robin and I moved to Roanoke in 2003 to open our very own Fleet feet store. It’s been a great experience for us to have a business that incorporates what we are so passionate about (which is living an active lifestyle) and sharing that experience with others. We’ve been able to help the running/active lifestyle community grow here and change lives for the better by providing customers with the materials and knowledge that will help them be successful with achieving their goals.

Our mission has always been to provide great customer service and to be involved in our community by helping it become a more healthy and happy place.

We incorporated the Fleet Feet Sports fit process into our business in early 2005.  This has really elevated the customer experience in our store and allowed us to connect more from an educational standpoint with our customers as well. We no longer were just selling shoes, we were fitting shoes, which is much more applicable to more people in many different walks of life. This has had a huge impact on our business.

Our No Boundaries training program is a way to introduce people to running and walking in a group atmosphere. This program motivates individuals to get off the couch by knowing they have a support group. In this program, individuals have a specific plan that they follow to help them reach their goals. This program is so tremendous to us because it has not only helped people in our community become more active it has also brought our community together; there have been friendships, relationships and marriages that were all built off of this program!
