Locally owned and operated, Fleet Feet Sports, Syracuse, has been an active member of the local running and triathlon community since 2000. Owners Ed and Ellen Griffin have overseen Fleet Feet Sports - Syracuse growth by leaps and bounds in its 16 years of existence. The current East Syracuse store is in a 10,000 square foot building that was purchased in 2010, more than tripling its space. A second 5,000 square foot location was opened three years later in Clay in 2013. Fleet Feet Sports, Syracuse employs 50, people – 25 full-time, 25 part-time. The Griffin’s have dedicated countless hours to helping each team member achieve career and personal goals, which leads to a business that is fun to be involved with and a better business overall.

“Many people assume we are only in the running business,” says owner Ed Griffin. “Really, we are in the business of helping all people feel better about themselves. By being inclusive, we can help more people and have a greater impact in the community. That’s the business we are in, helping everyone achieve their personal or fitness goals.”

Recipient of Competitor Magazine “Running Store of the Year” in 2012, Fleet Feet Sports, Syracuse is part of an elite group that has been named to the “50 Best Running Retailers in America” every year since the publication started the list 11 years ago. Fleet Feet Sports, Syracuse, was also recognized as one of the “Big 4” in 2010, giving the shop two “Final Four” nods.
