Lynn JungFreerunner. Parkour Athlete. Pavement Hitter.
Front flip off the hood of an Audi? No problem. Lynn Jung makes jumping from buildings look easy. After all, training as a freerunner and parkour athlete is her form of meditation. Some people sit still and breathe, she leaps headfirst off cement walls.
Before she was running her world on and off the UK and Luxembourg pavement, she trained for 15 years in dance and circus until she traded the stage for the streets. In 2016, she snagged Best Female at the world’s biggest freerunning competition Red Bull Art of Motion and she’s the only female member of the professional team StormFreerun.
And she’d 100% crush you in a handstand competition.
Notes From The Takeover
While in Bangkok Lynn spent time at The Movement Playground where she did her very first flip since her tibia fracture.
For more parkour, you can check out her team at @stormfreerun on Instagram.
Lynn's made a board of some her of favorite things - check it out here.
Lynn is currently working through a stress fracture in her shin - She hit it on a bar during a dismount one wrong, and what she thought was just a bruise turned out to be much more. Her advice: Take care of your body. Eat well. And stretch often and stretch properly. Her motivation to keep at it while injured: Find other things you love doing and strengthen your body around the injury while you're healing.
While Lynn doesn't consider herself a "runner", she does run quite a bit (especially when not injured). She favors a good hour run, around a 10k, and moves at her own pace when out there.Like her style? Shop the look:
