Elite road runners need equipment that is incredibly lightweight and highly responsive.  When every second counts, you can’t afford to lose an ounce of efficiency to a heavy or over-cushioned shoe. To answer such a need, Saucony returns to the roads with the all new Type A6.  For this update, the Saucony R&D team has achieved the “best of both worlds” by using new material technologies to completely redesign the midsole/outsole unit for enhanced durability, while also trimming an overall half ounce off the weight of its predecessor.  The A6 is designed to be more firm than a traditional training shoe, providing higher responsiveness and quicker stride turn over.  Flexfilm throughout the upper enhances fit and reduces the need for seam-stitching, decreasing friction for better comfort. Saucony’s elite racing team provided crucial feedback in the design/development process and several of them, including Linsey Corbin, have made it their go-to road racing shoe.
