Getting to the start line takes more than a pair of shoes.
We partnered with BlackToe Running to celebrate the journey of many Toronto runners and support them in their last few weeks leading to race day.
The running community in the city is strong and welcomes everyone - beginners to pros - to share in the struggles and the triumphs of each and every run.
On race weekend, we hosted a social run to give runners a chance to shake out the cobwebs before the big day and connect with old friends while making new ones.
To get to the finish line, you can also use a little (or a lot) of what Krista Duchene calls a "tough mental attitude". The Canadian Olympian and Saucony Elite Athlete joined us for an intimate pre-race chat to share how she prepares for a race.
On race day, there’s nothing better than seeing your friends and family cheering for you as loudly as they can - but it doesn’t hurt to have strangers cheering for you too! We greeted the 25,000 runners passing BlackToe by cheering, ringing cowbells and spreading confetti love to help give them that extra boost along the race course!
