Coach Mike Barnow started the Westchester Road Runners Club in 1974 and Andy Kimerling was one of his first members. Andy and Mike became friends and one night during a diner excursion, Mike came up with the idea of opening a running store: an off-the-wall idea at the time that proved to be successful in the long run. Now lead by the dedicated and knowledgeable Andy, Westchester Road Runner has been serving the Tri-State running and triathlon communities for over 37 years. Westchester Road Runner has built its foundations on bringing burgeoning brands to market and growing alongside today’s major players since their inception. They are proud to have supported those new brands when no one else would take a chance and invest.

The staff at Westchester Road Runner has always been comprised of runners and triathletes who continue to participate in and live for their sport. Their knowledge of product, training, and competing is unparalleled and always available to customers.

From trail shoes to track spikes, and everything in between, you’ll find what you need at Westchester Road Runner. Finding your strong starts with finding your perfect fit. From head to toe, Westchester Road Runner can complete your look for any season. At Westchester Road Runner customers are provided with an extensive selection of the top running apparel. Taking care of a runner from the inside out. Putting reps in on the stairs is all part of a day’s work. Just last month, Westchester was praised for their expertise by a customer, saying: “As a first time marathon runner I was very nervous and full of questions. I was so happy with my experience at WRR, they not only answered all of my questions but gave me lots of awesome advice.  My main purpose of going there was to find the perfect shoe that would help me cross the finish line, and they were able to get me in the best fitting and supporting shoe. It felt like the shoes were designed specifically for my feet! Adam was able to figure out what type of footwear I needed just by looking at my feet and the way I stand. Andy was also helpful, answering several running questions for me. Both were very knowledgeable, professional, and have a great energy! I will be doing all my sports shopping there from now on!” Clearly product and service is of utmost importance at Westchester Road Runner.
